New 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at West Valley Chrysler Jeep for Los Angeles, CA
The 2017 Wrangler Unlimited is the must-have high-spirited, four-door SUV for off-road experiences. It's the most capable option available and anyone who drives one will tell you that. With extensive customization options in the factory and with aftermarket parts, you can really make your Wrangler Unlimited your own. For a stand-out vehicle with classic Jeep styling, there isn't any option besides a Wrangler. This year brings updates including new LED fog lamps and headlights, available on the Sport and Sport S and standard for the Sahara and Rubicon, and a Cold Weather Group. Don't let the Cold Weather Group scare you off- it's not just for cold seasons. It comes with comfort features like heated seats, remote start, and everything available in the Power Convenience Group.
Under the Wrangler Unlimited's Hood
The Wrangler Unlimited is powered by Chrysler's smooth 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. Designed to provide a broad torque band by focusing on low-end torque, it's no surprise that the engine is so effective in the Wrangler line. This engine boasts that it can achieve 260 pound-feet of torque and 285 horsepower. Regardless of whether it's coupled with the standard six-speed manual transmission or the optional five-speed automatic, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has an impressive powertrain. With the automatic transmission, the Wrangler Unlimited has an estimated fuel economy of 17 city/20 highway; the manual's estimated fuel economy is 17 city/21 highway. There are three available gear axle ratios--3.21, 3.73, or 4.10--that can be used to optimize off-road capability and fuel economy. In addition to all that, the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited can tow 3,500 pounds.
Design of Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
The 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited holds the same spirit and character as its two-door counterpart. With a four-door and five-passenger configuration, the Wrangler Unlimited looks more like a traditional SUV. Four models are available for the 2017 lineup: Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon. In addition to these, there are many available packages that offer a wide range of additional features. Packages include the 75th Anniversary, Winter, Rubicon Hard Rock, and more. Standard features for the base Sport model include skid plates, foglights, tow hooks, full-metal removable doors, on/off-road tires, a tilting steering wheel, 16-inch steel wheels, a tumble-forward, 60/40-split folding seat, air-conditioning, cruise control, cloth upholstery, a full-size spare tire, and an eight-speaker sound system. The Sahara is the line's more luxurious options, with features such as the Power Convenience Group items and sound-reducing hood insulation. The Rubicon is redirected towards off-road capabilities and offers items such as 4.10 axle gearing, an upgraded transfer case, and rock rails. The 2017 Wrangler Unlimited also has a substantial amount of cargo space, with 31.5 cubic feet behind the rear seat or 70.6 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.
